Pine
Knob Theatre One of Kentucky’s Outdoor Dramas
since 1987, the Pine Knob Theatre performs a number of great shows
each summer from June through September. This 500-seat outdoor
theatre, located in the historic Pine Knob Community just South of
Rough River, brings to life the true story of Outlaw Dock Brown who
actually lived in Pine Knob from 1842 until 1851. See the old country
store, the diner, craft shops, antique shop, wedding chapel, picnic
grounds, and hiking trails. This is one stop you will want to make
during your stay. The valley is known as “Hoodoo Holler” and many old
buildings still remain including the church, school, and store.
